White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said Wednesday that she would consider bringing back White House press briefings.
Asked in an interview with Sinclair's Eric Bolling whether she would restore the briefings, Grisham said, Were going to talk about it. Thatll be ultimately up to the president.
The president also, hes so accessible, so right now I think thats good enough, she added.
Grisham's Wednesday night interview was her first TV appearance since becoming the White House press secretary according to Sinclair.
Grisham also said that Trump takes reporter questions by Marine One and has had press presence in Cabinet Room and Oval Office.
"He is the most accessible president in modern history so I dont know what any of the press could complain about, she said.
Grisham's predecessor, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, broke with tradition by essentially ending daily press sessions in the James S. Brady Briefing Room.
The New York Times reported in June that White House officials were debating whether to reinstate the briefings after Sanders's departure.
Did they learn their lesson? Have they learned to behave?
Did they learn their lesson?
No.
Have they learned to behave?
No.

Trump is the most accessible president ever, and the most communicative too.
Who else has ever used a cell-phone so much to let the media know how he feels about things? Twiteerstorms is his game, and nobody does it better.
Whereas Obama was afraid of being confronted by questions, especially by those who didn’t support him. Trump takes on all questions, even from those he knows are politically aligned with the opposition.
A Sinclair cable network got this hot interview, not Fox News.
Good. Fox needs the competition.
Wow! Trump talks to the press directly almost daily yet they want a return to the old format where their “questions” are more of a debate. Could it be that, like Rush said, they only want to get their mugs on TV taking it to the Administration spokesman to further their own careers a la Dan Rather?
They’re not interested in asking questions....only creating their narrative when called on.
I would find an Andrew Dice Clay to be a press secretary and spend all the day insulting them until they refuse to come.
Most transparent President in our history. When he walks out to the helicopter Trump probably takes a 100 questions from the press.
Never go back to that staged TV studio format...
Don’t do it. Deny the jackals the camera time they crave.
