Also the House of Saud had helped make Shrub a rich man and had financially handsomely rewarded the family Bush in general and their clique of greedy insiders, vide Jim Baker.

Yes. All true, and all disturbing. It's funny how there are always ways to create ‘royalty’ in any society - even when the government isn't nominally a monarchy. ‘Royalty’ is always a mistake, and always either underperforms or is tyrannical. Our current ‘royalty’ are celebrities, politicians, academics, the pedigreed, the ‘connected’, and those with enough money such that they are immune to the actions of the aforementioned groups. Bush falls into the last two categories.

That any child born anywhere in the world should have their lives, their dreams, and their ultimate achievements in the world either defined by or modified by the incredibly limited and unimpressive ‘royalty’ in the world is horribly tragic. It also damages the world, holding it back.

The real divisions in the world that matter are not divisions of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic achievement. The real divisions are those predicted on who belongs to the ‘club’ and who doesn't.

Trump could have been part of ‘the club’, but he chose to go another route. That he made this choice makes him a focal point of hope for those of us who are not ‘connected’, and a focal point of hate for those who are.
