John Hickenlooper of Colorado is in discussions about ending his presidential bid and entering the race for his state’s Republican-held Senate seat, potentially giving Democrats a strong candidate in a race they must win to have hopes of retaking the chamber in 2021, according to four Democrats familiar with his thinking.

Gardner has voted in the Senate 96% of the time with President Trump ... i guess ya’ll think Hickenlooper will do better than that ...
There are few votes that really matter (borders and trade) and on them Gardner is certainly not with us.
Regardless, he is a sure goner in 2020 blue state with a motivated Dem base and name opponent.
Gardner has been a willing participant as the GOP aided and abetted the Mueller Coup. He won’t be missed.

so ask yourself: is it worth not getting any more conservative judges appointed for four years for Trump’s second term, including no more conservative SCOTUS judges, just because you’d rather see a more conservative GOP Senator in Colorado, something that’s simple not possible any more here, probably ever again?

Arnold was more “conservative” than Grey Davis. How did that work out for California? I am not going to count my chickens on McConnell vetted GOP judges given how the GOP Senate has torpedoed MAGA Fed and DNI nominees. Or GOP judges like Souter, Roberts, etc., etc.
The GOP as a party has aided and abetted the Mueller Coup. It needs to held accountable for that. If coup enablers like Gardner lose I will not lose any sleep over it. Frankly, they deserve to lose.

I don’t look for perfect candidates. I voted for Romney. Despite being lied to for 30 years by the GOP on border. I voted for Rubio. Then the GOP Senate lied and did not repeal Obamacare, obstructed POTUS on the border, kept the Senate in proforma session so a GOP POTUS can’t make appointments, rejected his MAGA nominees, publicly threatened him not to fire Sessions for cause, etc.
I look for candidates who do not aide and abetted a treasonous coup against a duly elected GOP POTUS like Gardner has. If that is a problem this country is already gone.
