“The best time for Trump’s wall to go up is in an election year.”
It is going to be glaringly apparent by election time that the wall is being built, big time. It should be glaringly apparent by Christmas, this year, and continue to accelerate after that. The Washington Examiner article about three weeks ago, that no “new” miles had been built yet, only 50 miles of “repaired or replaced fencing” had been, was the last gasp of the naysayers.
Beyond just seeing wall being built, and racking up stats on miles, the impact is going to be felt. Border communities are going to start having lower crime rates. Illegal immigration is going to be impeded. The Left will have to scramble next year to mislead about that, because the reality will be damning to their “narrative”.
It’s kinda amazing that people don’t seem to grasp that what is happening in an election year is what impacts the election, not what happens in the previous year. Well, for the most part.
