Sadly, I think Trump is woefully ignorant about firearms in general and the acquisition process through FFLs and Form 4473 that asks pointed questions, which, I believe, if you lie on the Form, has serious consequences. The FFL then calls the FBI for background and conveys The Who and what of the transaction.

I doubt this. Trump carries. Don Jr. & Eric are hunters and I don’t think they learned that from their mothers or on their own.
Trump has his on-camera persona and his media caricature. I don’t believe either one portrays the true individual. For that, I look at his accomplishments.
I also factor in his negotiating style, which begins with being conciliatory and usually ends with winning. Sometimes the road to a win is convoluted, but the man is tenacious.
