FReepers are so damn smart about knowing what will or will not happen in the future, yet not one of them predicted Epstein would be dead just 24 hours ago.
Some of the drama gets frustrating around here, but to be fair there were numerous FReepers who stated he would die in his jail cell (insert your conspiracy here). Just saying - this was not a major shock to many of us. He was a major risk for suicide as his life was over and prison had to be difficult for him to face. He was probably in more danger due to what he knew or might have known about very powerful people. On top of that he was a pedophile - not usually a popular guy in a lock-up.
It is difficult to comprehend how BOP could have allowed this to happen with an inmate that allegedly tried to kill himself two weeks ago and was the highest risk/profile guy in that lock-up. Barr is right to be appalled, but DOJ seems to specialize in shooting itself in the foot recently.

In our defense, those of us who were here before the GWB years took such a prediction for granted, a baseline expectation so universal it would be as redundant as mentioning your boat floats on water.
Where do you think the Clinton Body Count was maintained and developed for all those years? FR was a key touchstone for its construction and maintenance.
