If one is going to “off” someone one should try not make the “offing” look like a scenario from a TV show. Almost silly.
They’ve either gotten careless.
Don’t realize that the news cycle is different than 20 years ago wrt social media.
They’re doing it ‘in our faces’ to prove they can and send a message to anyone else...

No, it is not silly. It is a naked and in our face display of their contempt for all of the rest of us. They know that it looks like a monkey planned it, yet they also know that nothing will happen, and there’s nothing that any of us are able to do about it. This is a display of power and contempt, that is all.
