Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin Signs Pro-Life Legislation as Court Hears Challenge

Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin ceremonially signed into law four pieces of pro-life legislation as an appeals court heard a challenge brought by the ACLU regarding a state abortion safety law.

On Thursday, Bevin signed SB 9, the Heartbeat Bill, which bans an abortion once a fetal heartbeat can be detected; SB 50, a measure that requires doctors to provide abortion pill patients with information regarding the reversal of the effects of the drug; HB 5, which bans abortion based on sex, race, or perceived disability of the unborn child; and HB 148, a measure that would ban abortion entirely in Kentucky should Roe v. Wade be overturned.

“I am deeply grateful to be governor of a state that so overwhelmingly values the sanctity of human life,” said the Republican governor. “Kentucky is leading the charge in this vitally important fight for the heart and soul of our great nation. We look forward to additional work with our strong legislative partners in building on this historic momentum, as we advance critical pro-life protections for the most vulnerable among us.”

During the signing ceremony, Richard Nelson, executive director of the Commonwealth Policy Center, presented Bevin with the organization’s “Friend of Life” award, honoring his work to protect unborn children in Kentucky.

“What many people don’t know is that Gov. Bevin’s legal team is defending duly enacted pro-life laws that aren’t being defended in court by the current attorney general,” said Nelson. “Gov. Bevin is going the extra mile by committing his time, his energy and his staff, to uphold laws intended to protect the unborn. Gov. Bevin is truly a friend of life to future Kentuckians.”

If all the Conservative states united, met in Washington, told the President that they’re tired of all this Leftist/ANTIFA/SJW Bullsh*t, they’re tired of the illegals, tired of the refugees, tired of the unfunded mandates forced upon them and their residents by the Dem’s, they’re tired of all the Dem/RINO/Chamber of Commerce crap slung up against the wall that they have to clean up.....ALL OF THIS ENDS TOMORROW.

If the Dem states can unite around some ridiculous National Popular Vote scheme, then surely the Red States can unite around the Constitution, the President and about 60+ million Americans that pay the bills, respond first to shootings-stabbings-fires-car accidents, raise their right hands to take an Oath to the US Constitution and US military at the nearest MEPS location, fix our cars, fix our plumbing, and everything else under the sun....THIS WOULD BE OVER TOMORROW.

Have Tennessee tell the Feds and the 6th circuit that they’re aren’t paying for refugees anymore. Let the charities that settled them in the state pay the bills.
Have any states that says so, they aren’t paying the bills, increasing property taxes for the schools, paying for school meals, giving out licenses to illegals, or providing birth certificates anymore. The illegals and refugees want that, tell them to move to NY or California, we’ll give them a helping hand to get out.

For far too long, the Left has gotten away with so much because there’s been no pushback, NONE. In most cases, legitimate collusion, behind closed doors within the Cantor-Ryan-Pelosi-McConnell-Boehner UNIPARTY to screw us all over so they can appease their corporate masters.

I hope the Kentuckians will keep him as governor, but they are not that often trustworthy voters.

I hope the Kentuckians will keep him as governor, but they often disappoint.

How come no one challenges infantacide laws like those in NY, Ill and CA? There are a FEW good judges surly.

SCOTUS would surely rule it unconstitutional. No “right to privacy” involved. Definite equal protection and due process concerns. No compelling state interests to justify their violation.
