Considering that the ship is Spanish, and Spain has a SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT, Italy is asking a fair question as to why Spain doesn’t simply take the ship.
Only one possible answer that I can come up - they still have elections in Spain (for now), and I wouldn’t be surprised if elections are coming up soon.

These leftist Hollywoods jerks spend their life getting paid enormous sums to act out a fantasy for films and at some point they lose all connection with the real world. Why anyone would think that their opinion means anything is beyond me. They are all pampered egotistical idiots and I value the opinion of my dog more than theirs. As someone else indicated, if they feel so bad for the so-called refugees then get together with their Hollywood buddies and George Soros and buy them their own island. They have no right to expect the citizens of any country to have to pay higher taxes to support freeloaders.
