We especially want to be believed, that powerful men who some would least expect get away with are falsely accused of rape because of their social status.

There, the corrected version is far more common than yours. The rich and famous are far more likely to be falsely accused or extorted with such claims than they are likely to actually commit such crimes.

See: Donald Trump, Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh, John Hyten, Phi Kappa Psi at UV, Duke's Lacrosse Team, etc, etc, etc...

"Believe Her"? NO. Unless there is strong evidence, I believe no one. Dershowits is a scummy lawyer who represented scummy clients, and he may well be guilty. If there is evidence, lock his ass up and throw away the key, but I don't automatically accept that he is guilty just because he is "powerful". We have been asked to do that far too frequently.

I just believe Virginia’s testimony. You can choose not to.

Of course I agree he deserves his day in court, and (omg sorry) he is probably the best person in the world to get himself off. But I understand her perspective and her motivations and no one should get away with crimes because they have more social status. Especially violent or sexual crimes against kids.

Trump was clearly a player and he may well have gone too far with some of his partners, I have no idea. I doubt he had any interest in children. We didn’t elect him for his decent relationships with women.

Kavanaugh probably did fondle a high school chick while drunk at a house party at age 17. So what? For an adult woman to be traumatized 40 years after she was felt up at a drunken high school party is a total joke.
