Theres considerable overlap within the field on the broad foundations for helping less-populous areas of the country. Nearly every candidate with a plan has endorsed stepping up antitrust enforcement against major agriculture monopolies, incentivizing farmers to engage in more environmentally friendly practices, renegotiating trade deals to be more favorable for farmers and investments in rural broadband.IF these are the issues rural farmers are concerned about and Democrats are exploiting these issues I can see them gaining ground.
The question is ARE these the issues farmers are concerned about?
Does anyone have any specific insight on these issues and how farmers view them?

Rural broadband will just get their kids addicted to porn and video gaming, the heck with helping their folks on the farm...

In Iowa, there are maybe 20,000 farms that yield a full-time income to their operators. Thats not a lot of voters to pander to. And even in a farm state like Iowa, financial services and manufacturing far exceed the money generated by agriculture.
