In their first head-to-head encounter in what is shaping up to be an ugly race, the two candidates for Kentuckys attorney general used their Fancy Farm political speeches Saturday to add more accusations and insults to it.
Republican Daniel Cameron, a Louisville attorney who was making his first speech at the annual political picnic in Graves County that kicks off the falls campaign season, said his Democratic challenger, former attorney general and House speaker Greg Stumbo of Floyd County, represents the old, Frankfort liberal guard.
He said Stumbo, who turns 68 Aug. 14, is like milk in a refrigerator for a long time.
Its been spoiling for 30 years, and when you open it up, it smells terrible.
...
Cameron, if successful in the Nov. 5 general election, would be the first African-American to be Kentuckys chief law-enforcement official and the first Republican since the 1940s to hold the office.

C’mon, Stumpy, you know you want to say it. An intelligent Black man not on the Dem plantation easily making you look like the fool. You just gotta say it. The old bigot in you just wants to say it, so say it.
Looks at the signs in the video the Dems are holding - style and time period...you reverse the parties of the candidate and those holding the signs, this would be a national news story about racism.
Yup. They’re scared as hell that Cameron gets elected, he’s going to be the next Governor in 2023 (and with his telegenic presence and charisma, a potential future national leader).
It’s curious that the media tends to ignore Black Republicans unless they’re anti-Trumpers. It was the only time they spent more than 5 seconds with the never Trumper RINO Will Hurd in TX deciding to retire after a short, unimpressive tenure. Black pro-Trump candidates don’t fit the racist leftist media narrative. I’m sure they’ll do all they can to give Crooked Stumpy an assist back to office again.
Indeed - had Jeanine Hampton been a Democrat, it would have been wall to wall national news coverage about her election. It was indeed covered as a milestone for the state, but only locally - of course, because she was a Republican and that doesn’t count. Tim Scott’s election in SC wasn’t nearly as widely covered as it would have been had he been a Dem.
I never quite understood what happened between Bevin and Hampton that led to the parting of the ways.
Cameron was called “a child”...I think that is old boy Democrat dogwhistle speak for “BOY!” in the racist sense of the term. It would interesting to ask that question just to see the Democrats squirm!
