When 55+ years ago my mom complained that I was driving WAY too fast
I reminded her that somewhere around 100 people per day (one every 12-15 minutes) were being killed in car accidents, and I was just getting off the highway as fast as I could.
She didn’t particularly like my statement but found it impossible to argue with my logic
