It has been the NRA’s long-standing position that those who have been adjudicated as a danger to themselves or others should not have access to firearms and should be admitted for treatment.”
The key word is adjudicated and this is the current state of law. I don't see movement toward red flag laws which allow or require confiscation before adjudication.
That said, I have written and encourage other NRA members to express opposition to Red Flag laws.
