Not only did the cop shoot at the dog, he shot at it multiple times. Spray and pray? Either this cop is pathologically afraid of dogs, or he just likes to shoot dogs.

Either way, I’m sure an “internal investigation” will clear him of any wrongdoing.

Side note: I’m told that many police departments have gotten rid of the old wooden nightstick. This is one instance where that weapon would have been the go-to device.

Even pepper spray would have been a better option. Dogs, with their very sensitive noses, do not like capsaicin one bit.
