Nah, just cleaning house of all incriminating evidence. Burglary just a false flag.
In view of his war of words with President Trump, it sounds to me like he conspired to hire someone to remove all of the incriminating evidence of graft before being raided by the FBI. What are the true odds of this kind of timing? And, did anyone at the crime scene check his freezer for bundles of cash?

I heard yesterday that Cummings is feigning sickness to avoid dealing with the mess he has created. Substantial corruption is being uncovered that leads directly to him. e is refusing to deal with the problems of corruption, rats, and murder that plague Baltimore. In spite of the Md. governor’s desire for Marquess of Queensberry Rules, without Trump’s tweets none of this would be visible.
That’s a pretty rough Congressional district that Mr. Cummings’ house is in. ;-)
