Shoot1
We lost 30 Rs from the House last time.
There must be some Rs that aren’t RINOs there.

The polls must really be bad for the GOP.

These people who keep leaving are just ensuring that we won’t win the house back.

On Election Day 2020, that Seat will be a Republican pick-up.

A staunch conservative, Dr. Alma Arredondo-Lynch, is again seeking the 23rd District seat. She is the real deal!!!

A lot of House Republicans see that the AOC-Omar wing of the Democratic Party is growing in the suburbs and don’t want to be in the minority for 10 more years.

Steve Scalise should retire and look at his health, he doesn’t need to be in that mess in D.C.

Kevin McCarthy and Liz Cheney are lackluster.

The House GOP needs better leaders

“The polls must really be bad for the GOP.”

These sh*theads could have stopped the invasion but they didn’t did they? They let it continue because they were paid off. The end result will be open warfare in the street.

Agreed. I’m glad that he’s retiring. I hope he’s replaced by a conservative Republican.

The GOP is toast, as it deserves to be.

Hurd won by less than 1000 votes or 0.5%. It would have been a gruelling race.

I think term limits for committee chairmanships was the worst idea ever. Serving in Congress is a crappy job for most talented people. It’s like being an at-will employee where the only promotions available are to committee chairmanships. Except now, you automatically get demoted every 6 years. If you had something like this for any other job, only mediocrities or the very rich would sign up. Increasingly, that’s what’s happening.

I thought Hurd was Hispanic and he is not a Trump supporter. Did a big tour with Beto.

Hurd was kinda' squishy, but I welcome inside info on this. An influx of all types to Texas may --or may not--be changing the political complexion of Texas. God forbid.

As a middle-of-road Republican, he may not have felt very comfortable in congress, and very comfortable in his previous role in intelligence, national security, the CIA.

I can not fathom Texas going democratic, despite dems strong tradition there, because that democratic party of old in Texas is nothing like today's democratic party.

I'll put money on a republican house in 2020
