Net Zero Natural Gas Plant -- The Game Changer
Forbes ^ | July 31, 2019 | James Conca

An actual game changing technology is being demonstrated as we sit in our air-conditioned abodes reading this. And it is being demonstrated by North Carolina–based Net Power at a new plant in La Porte, Texas.

The process involves burning fossil fuel with oxygen instead of air to generate electricity without emitting any carbon dioxide (CO2). Not using air also avoids generating NOx, the main atmospheric and health contaminant emitted from gas plants.

Sorry, couldn’t disagree more. The government has ZERO business picking winners and losers — most particularly when causing businesses to pick an uneconomical approach instead of an economical approach.

Not to quibble, but:

We subsidize families and children.

But even more so, we subsidize poverty and illegitimate children. We subsidize baby killers.

We subsidize crime, we should be charging the families of criminals for the costs of their incarceration.

If it’s not an efficient process it won’t be pursued absent the market distorting subsidies.”

We subsidize "wind turbines".....otherwise, they would not exist.

Agood example is that it seems to cause more pollution to build an electric car than a regular car would generally produce...the “clean” comes with running after the pollution has been caused....wonder how many electrics can recharge at one w/o taking Kalifornia’s grids down...
