I rented a sailboat from Navy MWR and took my family on a 4 day trip to the Perlas for sailboat races over New Year’s. The expats down there used to do it every year. Don’t know if they still do. Nights were tough. Laying at anchor of Contadora no breeze, 90 degrees, > 90 degree humidity. A few years later I had a 30 foot Open Express with twin V-8s and we cruised around the Chesapeake for a week. It had A/C. In the vending with the A/C running it was comfortable but every surface was just running with condensation. The best answer I discovered with all the boats I owned and was on was don’t spend the night on the boat. (By the way, I won the race back to Panama City!)

If you have to anchor behind high islands like Las Perlas, the wind can be killed, then the 12v fans are critical. In the Bahamas, low islands means secure anchoring but with a breeze.
