U.S. Soccer says women’s team has been paid more than men’s team
Fox News ^ | July 29 2019 | The Wall Street Journal

The U.S. Soccer Federation released a letter from its president Monday saying that it has paid the women’s national team more than the men’s national team in recent years, a move that comes ahead of mediation in the women’s team’s pay-equity lawsuit against its employer.

The pay analysis--which U.S. Soccer president Carlos Cordeiro said was conducted by U.S. Soccer staff and reviewed by an accounting firm--will add fuel to a complex debate over how the federation has compensated its championship women’s national team.

The federation has faced increasing pressure from the public and Congress over the issue, especially since the U.S. women successfully defended their World Cup title earlier this month.

It makes sense that they get paid more, they win more.

Except when they were beaten by a team of 15 year-old boys.

............................

If my church league softball team was undefeated over three years, how much should we be paid? Winning has nothing to do with with. It is primarily revenue that creates higher salaries.

Add to the the fact that the women’s collective bargaining agreement calls for guaranteed money and lower incentives... lots of reasons won/loss records aren’t the only pay drivers.

If one watched the final game played the goofy looking broad with the purple hair and big mouth actually played quite a lousy game. Oh sure she scored on a penalty kick that an 80 year could make but she had numerous unforced turnovers was lousy on defense and got beat numerous times. All in all she played a “C” class game at beast.

They should play a match between the men’s and women’s national teams to determine what each gets paid. Final score sets the percentages for each team.

Probably this was the reason that her coach sat her on the bench for the semi-final against England. Rapinoe just doesn’t D-up. The excuse given (hamstring pull) just didn’t make any sense. If she really had a hammy then she wasn’t going to be ready a few days later at the final.

The women’s soccer team should be paid more NOT to play at all......Rappinhoe and Kathy Griffith can start a touring gig called the Dike and Pike twins...it would go over big in lollywood, the msm, and demonrat circles...

Womens’ soccer, womens’ soccer, let me see. Isn’t that some sort of game where the players act like children that hate the USA and were previously beaten by children? The only good to come from womens’ soccer is just another excuse to never watch womens soccer.

Yes, generate 1/20th of the revenue, get paid more.
