They provided a wheelchair and raised my leg and put me in waiting room. I sat there until 6:00 am, got xrays and was sent to orthopedic center 5 miles away. A few years ago my aorta decided it was going to unravel, right in the middle of the night. I went to the ER with cutting, ripping chest pains. They did an EKG, and when they were convinced I wasn't having a heart attack, made me sit in the waiting room for the next six hours. I'm fortunate. The dissection happened in just such a way that no blood flow was cut off to any part of my body.
