These are single-occupancy bathrooms, so there will be no instances of guys in a bathroom with girls. The biggest effect of this bill will be that there will be no single-occupancy men’s room in small establishments like diners and such - this will mean no quick in and out for men, they will need to wait for the ladies to finish up their rituals in there. It also means that the ladies will get to experience the horrors of what guys can do to a public restroom.
Having worked in many a public accommodation, I can tell you without a doubt that women’s restrooms are several orders of magnitude WORSE than most men’s rooms.
Pee on the seat is a small thing compared to what else goes on in there. Really.
I had a job where I had to clean the restrooms in a busy grocery store. My experience was that the women’s was consistently in worse shape, with occasional vindictive messes as well as the general problem of more things going on than merely peeing and pooping. Not as consistently bad as say a men’s truck stop bathroom on the highway, but much much worse than I would have supposed as a guy before I started cleaning a women’s public bathroom.
