I really can't blame an economic migrant who comes here to work for a better life. I know it is illegal and think it should be punished accordingly, but I don't blame them for trying.

What frosts me most is how the poverty pimp industry has turned them into sacred cows, ensuring that they get benefits for which citizens are taxed, protecting even the felons and worst of the lot, crashing into people with no insurance and running off. In general, being able to pretend to be citizens when it is convenient (like voting themselves more bennies) and excusing themselves when it isn't (like paying taxes or jury duty).

After that (mostly) Honduran caravan late last fall refused job offers in Mexico and demanded we either admit them or pay them $50,000 each to go away, what tiny bit of sympathy I had for them vanished.

At this point, I'd like ICE to pick up voter rolls and welfare benefit rolls and start visiting under the guise that they need to report for jury duty or payment of back taxes. Once they offer the excuse that they aren't citizens, ask to see their papers. If they are missing or forged, load them up and move them out.
