A woman scraped a guy’s car. The guy gets out and yells at the woman. The woman’s boyfriend gets a out of the car. He’s got a baseball bat and hits the other guy twice in the head, killing him.
He was sentenced to 8 years for 2nd degree murder today.
Jeffery Epstein engaged in human trafficking of untold numbers of underage persons for the purpose of prostitution and rape. He got three years in a country club where he only had to be present 12 hours a day. Despite being convicted of 3 felonies he retained his passport and was able to jet all over the world on a whim. Don’t ever let anyone convince you there is “equal justice under the law”.
In Texas, juries decide sentences. Often some weak sisters make it onto the jury and they hand out extremely lenient sentences.
On the other hand, put a father who happens to be somewhat logical on a jury and the perp is doomed.
