“He used to be a proud Republican. He voted for George W. Bush. Twice. “

Oh yes, and don’t many of us here remember during the GWB years about people who voted for Ike or Nixon or Ford or even Reagan but thought that GWB was an idiot and that the Republican part of that time was no longer their Republican party.

I do not believe his lies that he voted for Bush, ever.

He may have been a “registered Republican”, we seem to have a lot of moles in the GOP.

Pride wasn’t a factor. I voted for GW Bush for two reasons.
Algore and Jean effin Kerry.
