I think it mighta been randolph scott that i heard it about- but looking up cooper- there were rumors about him and howard hughes- but cooper’s daughter said cooper ‘liked when people thought he was gay’ - not sure why he liked that- but i think cary grant said that or something similar too- maybe because it got them more attention or something-
