I sure hope someone is keeping track of how many times Mueller refused to answer Republican questions, against how many times Mueller refused to answer Democrat questions........that would be very telling!

Barr wanted to protect the integrity of his own investigation that he is supposedly conducting. Mueller did not have a lot of leeway.
Honestly, if Barr is legit, the hearing was a nice distraction for Mueller because he is under the sword of Damocles for defending the disingenuous report and failing to follow up on evidence of dem/Obama Admin treason.
Barr needs to prove he has integrity by biting the bullet and go after his friends which are heavily involved with the whole saga.

Sorry...Mueller did not have a lot of leeway... to answer questions about an ongoing investigation.
Barr set a control legal control process that areas could not be breached. Mueller requested the control limits.
