Did you even read the part of the article that I quoted? It states that, in fact, SHE was the one heard uttering, "Go back where you came from" several times.
I understand that she accused him of saying it but the employees reported to the police that they heard her say it to him, not the other way around.
If you watch the video of the two of them, outside the Publix, he admits to saying stuff to her. She has since started to walk back the go back.... statement.
Yes, he did admit to saying things to her but not "Go back where you came from". Again, employees heard her say it to him. She lied and walked back what she said the next day or so after the video aired.
You do know, because you’re so smart, that eye-witness testimony is the most unreliable testimony in court cases, right? And this instance is no different since both the witnesses mentioned in the article state that they only witnessed part of the incident.
The Unreliability of Eyewitness Testimony. “Once an eyewitness’s memory of the crime has been altered by post-event information, it is difficult or impossible to restore the eyewitness’s original memory of the crime,”
Thomas attorney, Gerald Griggs, said the officers report shows the case needs additional investigation because the employee, and another witness who also said he didnt hear Sparkes use the phrase, didnt hear the initial argument.
So, that witness didn’t hear the whole interaction. Ergo, Sparkes could have said that to her and she “Thomas continuously tell Eric Sparkes to Go back where you came from! ..... that could happen since this “eye witness” didn’t hear how the argument started or what was said initially.
A Publix employee told a Cobb County officer that she witnessed part of the conversation and heard Thomas continuously tell Eric Sparkes to Go back where you came from! but did not hear Sparkes utter those words to Thomas.
So, this eye witness, A PUBLIX EMPLOYEE, “witnessed” PART of the conversation, not all of it, so there’s no way of knowing what part of it the witness, witnesses without further clarification or questioning. Did they WITNESS the very beginning? Did they WITNESS the middle? Did they WITNESS when she realized that she f*cked up and instead of apologizing for being a rude fat b*tch, she raised her voice and caused a scene that could/should have been avoided, if she had only had the common courtesy to stay in the right line and not use her racial and political privilege to try and cut the line. I’d be willing to bet that the witness, witnessed the part when they both started raising their voices and Thomas started making a scene.
