Didn't the article say that she was the one that told the male customer (Sparks) to "go back where you came from"?
Per the article: A Publix employee told a Cobb County officer that she witnessed part of the conversation and heard Thomas continuously tell Eric Sparkes to Go back where you came from! but did not hear Sparkes utter those words to Thomas.
Your scenario doesn't work because she just took her own words and attributed them to Sparkes for publicity. He should sue the pants off her!
No sir. She alleged that the little Cuban guy said, Go back to where you came from. And that’s how she was able to try and link that to the President’s statement about the Squad going back to where they came from and inciting violence and all that crap.
If you watch the video of the two of them, outside the Publix, he admits to saying stuff to her. She has since started to walk back the “go back....” statement.

So, over the last day or so, twitter (and liberal media) has been exploding over a claim by a black Georgia State Rep., Erica Thomas, who said she was confronted by a white man in line at the grocery store, and that he called her a lazy SOB and told her to go back to where she came from.

As Red States Elizabeth Vaughn wrote Sunday, Georgia State Rep. Erica Thomas (D) tweeted Friday that she was verbally assaulted in a Publix grocery store by a white man who told her to go back to where she came from:
I’m thinking my scenario does work. Either way, all BS and way too much coverage and comment for an entitled hoodrat that got elected to public office.
