The squad of four radicals are actually a function of the media. Without intense media coverage they would just be another group of radicals in the democrat party. This party has always had a few extreme left wing socialist Marxist radials. Never have they gotten so much coverage as this group. They are dragging the left wing democrat party to the extreme left. This would not be happening except for the media attention the squad is getting.

I believe you are spot-on with that assessment. It has always been my contention that the Dim party is simply the political activist faction of the MSM, in turn controlled by a cabal of extreme leftist progressive media conglomerates.
