Recall the mobster who was whacked during a prison transfer. Corrupt government or security figures had to leak details of the transfer and permit the hit.
Everybody has an Uncle who knows.....
That was how the mob worked, even non mobsters, aka relatives were informants who would give info that would be valuable...
