The last I heard, the UK’s only aircraft carrier, the HMS Queen Elizabeth, had no aircraft. But Nelson’s old flagship, the HMS Victory, is still under commission. She mounts 104 cannon, and one of her fearsome broadsides would sink any small Iranian patrol craft.

Let’s just hope that no Iranian ship or aircraft fires back.

They finished initial operations of the F35 late last year.

It would be ready to go except they wanted to tie up some loose strings such as crew assignments and training.

The brits love those vertical takeoff planes for some reason.

We may see how well the new F35 works.

I would bet they’d send it if there is enough crew trained to do the job.

The Royal Navy still has submarines, does it not?
