ESPN reminds staffers to stick to sports, not talk politics after star rips Trump on-air

ESPN honchos reminded staffers on Friday that on-air talent should avoid stories considered “pure politics” after Dan Le Batard slammed President Trump and his own "cowardly" network for not allowing employees to speak out.

Le Batard, whose parents are exiles from Cuba, called Wednesday’s Trump rally "deeply offensive" because the crowd targeted Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, with chants of “send her back.”

ESPN allows its personalities to discuss politics when they cross with sports, such as players skipping White House visits and athletes kneeling during the national anthem. Employees, including Le Batard himself, were notified that the policy hasn’t changed and strictly political stories don’t have a place at the iconic sports network under current leadership.

Ironically, employees were reminded about the policy because Le Batard ripped it on his ESPN platform.

ESPN needs to try a little diversity and hire one or two conservatives....

OR they should start a new network for assh*le liberal elites... Good luck selling advertising when your viewers are 800 people in Washington DC...and 50 in Hollywood...

Funny how not a peep out of the media over Obama ending preferential immigration treatment of Cubans.

When he was sucking up to the Castros he ended the policy giving Cubans a free ride for making it to the US when escaping the Communist island.

I would think Le Retard’s parents probably have a different view of Trump than he does.

He’s the Jim Acosta of ESPN. Acosta is also the son of Cuban immigrants.

Most Cuban Americans want nothing to do with what fidiots like Omar are offering or where they came from. If there was a loud mouth Communist lover from Cuba,I would equally say the same about going back from hence you came.

I remember him going ballistic against Obama when Obama went to Cuba. Le Batard gave a passionate speech about the suffering of the Cuban people under Castro. . .and how Obama’s gesture to the Castro regime was to spit in the face of the Cuban community in America. After Trump, I figured Le Batard would be loving Trump. . .guess not. ..looks like Le Batard is just a huge emotional idiot cry-baby.

Le Batard

Dear editor: You left an “S” out of his last name.

“This idiot’s father immigrated here from Cuba to escape the same kind of communism Omar wants to inflict about this country.”

I suspect the idiot went to ‘Journalism School’ and was indoctrinated by the Left. Scary how they can neutralize what even a person’s father likely spent nearly 20 years trying to teach him.
