Lenin actually promised democratic elections if the Bolsheviks got power in Russia. They had the elections right after October 1917 which resulted in the Bolsheviks getting all of 15 percent of the total vote. Their response was to cancel all future elections since the people voting didn’t know what they were doing and they were in power for 74 years thereafter. Don’t think it can’t happen here with a focused, determined ideological minority with the willing, lying tools of what’s left of the media, academia and the poison of Hollywood.
