Heh ... opened C-SPAN in browser, cleared the authentication, only to be told that my browser is too outdated to play the media.

For win7 I use Brave, Opera or Vivaldi Browser they all work for C-span and other web sites. Have no problem using any of the three. Stop using IE11.
