> Impeachment (House) and removal (Senate) are both tied to high crimes and misdemeanors. Dems have to provide what these are... <
Right. But that is a very easy thing to do. A high crime does not have to be a serious crime. The Founders considered a high crime to be any crime committed by a high official, such as the president.
So the House Democrats need only say that Trump violated his oath of office by making racist remarks. Since Trump is a high official, thats a high crime. Thats silly, I know. But it is legal, and constitutional.
Racism is in the eye of the beholder.
All of the remarks made against whites by just about every Dems would constitute racism on their part and people in Congress can also be impeached.
Race war here we come if Dems keep it up, and we don’t need a race war and nobody wants one.
BTW, “oath of office” is also in the eye of the beholder.
And Dems, if they could, would vote retroactively to impeach George Washington for being a racist.
So I don’t think that charging him with racism would hold up in court.
You have to mention a race for his comments to
be racist
