Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt compete to see who can be the most weak kneed candidate for Prime Minister.

No one should have illusions about Boris Johnson being some sort of British version of Trump. Not a chance. If he was American we’d call him a RINO. He’s perhaps marginally better than Jeremy Hunt, but not by much.
Johnson strikes me as a typically privileged Tory. He has had everything handed to him since he was a kid. He lacks character. He doesn’t even bother to take the time to study his own positions and others carefully. He spouts opinions about everything but he is uninformed. He might get away with this if he was a liberal, but because he seeks to lead the so called Conservative party, the press will not give him an easy ride.
I think he will be a disaster and I genuinely fear for the UK that they could end up with that anti-semite communist Corbyn as prime minister after the next general election.
This was an attempt to entrap or trip up Boris.
What do you expect he would say about this matter? That he agrees with Trump?
Such a statement would completely change the nature of the current campaign for the PM and Boris didn't fall for it.
You have to pick your battles and this side show invented by AOC and Ilhan Omar was not worth a complete derailing of the current PM campaign.
As many say (I usually do), the UK is dead.
Well, it might not be completely dead. It might still have a chance at resuscitation if Boris can throw a monkey wrench in the Left's plans to completely kill off the U.K.
Brexit is more than just a plan to withdraw from the EU. It is also a symbol of those Brits--still alive but just barely--who want to wrest the UK from the grip of the Left (in the EU and in the UK).
Boris, with all his faults, is their last hope.
I have a better question to ask: Is it appropriate to confront members of Congress, that’s CONGRESS, who openly support terrorism, make antisemitic comments and bash the USA??
Chill out. Just pointing out the truth. Namely that Britain has a choice between two establishment politicians.
And if challenging someone to tell the truth is entrapment, then God help us.
“What do you expect he would say about this matter? That he agrees with Trump?”
No I wouldn’t expect that. He’s as gutless politician. You’re making the same argument that RINO’s made against Trump (i.e. that it’s suicidal to speak honestly to the electorate). It was wrong then and it’s wrong now.
Boris is going to play it safe until he is PM.
I can tell from your comment that your hatred of Boris is coloring your judgment about what is going on at this point. You may be correct...or not.
But your angry toward Boris is clouding your vision.
Just saying.
I don’t hate Boris. I just don’t have a lot of respect for him. You’re over reacting and taking this too personally. As I said, he’s the better of the two options. Just don’t have any allusions about who he is.
Oh. Okay.
And by the way, just to add to that, I was very hopeful when I first heard about Boris Johnson, that he might be the sort of maverick outsider that Trump is, but unfortunately he’s been a disappointment in that regard. He’s an insider playing the role of an outsider. But he’s an improvement over May. If he follows through on Brexit and cooperates with Trump on certain important things that are going to be coming up soon, then from my perspective, that’s good enough.
Stupid question. The comments were not racist. Because the socialists do not have substance they turn everything into race.
