According to a new rule published in the Federal Register , asylum seekers who pass through another country first will be ineligible for asylum at the U.S. southern border.
That is a funny way of saying you must apply for asylum from the first country you hit after you escape the country you are fleeing.
Aka you flee the Germans into France. You must apply for asylum in the US from France. Makes sense, as we have the right to say no.
On another note, I thought that has been a rule FOREVER.
All we need now is the same rule enforced by Mexico at their southern border.
