The Palestinian Problem Is Dying of Natural Causes
PJ Media ^ | JULY 12, 2019 | DAVID P. GOLDMAN

It seems that the Palestinian jihadists of the old intifadas are more concerned about making a living than killing Israelis... It turns out that time is on Israel's side, as Ambassador Yoram Ettinger and other Israeli analysts have argued for years. The Arab "demographic time bomb" turned out to be a dud, as fertility rates plunge across the Muslim world... (by just waiting for the large teenage demographic bulge to grow up) Like Northern Ireland, the militants would find themselves married with mortgages (at least those who survived).

...Although the aging kleptocrats who still run the Palestine Authority out of Ramallah won't admit it, the time is ripe for the kind of peace plan that the Trump administration offered at last month's Bahrain conference.

"the Palestinians will make peace with Israel, for a simple reason: they will grow up--literally. Palestinian Arabs comprise one of the fastest-aging populations in the word."

Well, all the young men in that part of the world are making their way to Germany, France, England and Sweden. So Israel may be safe locally, but at the cost of northern Europe?

Since there is no such thing as a Palestinian it’s difficult to predict what the fictional Palestinian will do.

However, the Arabs on the other hand will never rest. So I think that answers the question

Don’t forget we get them in the USA too, even in Congress. They are being pushed upon us just like in Europe.

I call BS. No way the Palestinians don’t have the next generation of foot soldiers after systematically indoctrinating them to hate Jews and blame them for all their problems. There is only a pause for the leadership to shift.

Demographics is Destiny.

Plummeting birth rates and emigration of the young adults are happening there, at a world class rate of impact (still a multi-year phenomena).

Palestinians get a hugely subsidized education, and their educational attainment is quite high, especially in the region. They have a good reputation in the Arab world as mid-level employees, and have better employment opportunities elsewhere.

Not only has the relative share of the population that is military age males shrunk, but that age cohort now has significantly better education and job prospects (elsewhere) than they did ten years ago - more to lose.

Although the Old Guard insists on lots of political indoctrination in K-12, a lot of the college education is focused on marketable skills.

The possibility exists that if conditions are right politically, regional developments like the Saudi City of the Future (Neom), or Egypt’s development of several new Free trade zones on the Suez Canal/Red Sea near Cairo (with Dubai Ports World, Russia, China, Italy and others) could draw away an even higher good number of young adult Palestinians.

Fake news.

The time isn’t ripe for the United States to stick it’s nose in.

The time is ripe to let Israel handle it however they want.

Henry Kissinger’s stupid crap, and money flowing from the west propped this conflict up for decades.

The new plan involves Saudi money mostly if I have understood it correct. Israel, the USA and the Saudi Arabians seem to be growing ever closer...

They said the same thing about the Catholics and Orangemen in Northern Ireland, and then they all started getting rich and decided to make peace and money.
