I’m not so sure.
“Incivility” has been with the nation since the beginning, and it defined much of the state of the free press when we were founded.
Still, that it’s getting worse (especially since the sexual devolution), it’s a possible symptom of a nation where some real knowledge of the Lord but has been common but that nation is departing from it.

Yes, I know that "incivility" has been around a long time, but this recent public use of blatantly obscene language by politicians and celebrities - often by women - is something new; I certainly never heard anything like it for the first 60+ years of my life.
When comedian Jackie Mason gave Ed Sullivan the middle-finger back in the 60s, it was a huge deal, virtually unprecedented.
