This is very true, however, my main point was that the women hired idiots for collective bargaining representatives. They deserve to get paid what they negotiated.
I don’t think so. The women have different negotiating priorities than the men. They want guaranteed playing contracts for the top players from US Soccer. The 4 highest paid employees of US Soccer are women’s soccer players. The men are under a different CBA and get paid per appearance. No game appearance, no money for the boys.
This makes sense. Either way, they have no standing to be bitching about the contract they negotiated.
How will this affect the price of my stock?
There were other women’s soccer teams competing in the Olympics too. Why doesn’t virtue signaling P&G send 500,000 dollars to each of those teams? And while they’re at it, why doesn’t virtue signaling P&G send 500,000 dollars to the boys team that beat the women’s U.S. Olympic team? Equal pay right?
True; but not worthless to the corporation.
For just over one-half million dollars P&G will garner over ten million dollars (my guess) in free publicity. Maybe lots more.
And their timely gesture will mean so much to a certain crowd. No doubt P&G will pick up some new loyal customers; at least loyal until something shinier comes along.
I just wish I had a cheap-to-make legal product that I could use to manipulate large numbers of vulnerable people and compel them to pay me big bucks.
I guess that’s nice of them. I buy a cheaper brand.
Well let them do that. And any other liberal "woke" corporations who want to come of with cash. Then do it next time. And the next time. That's how socialism works. Somebody's got to come up with the money somehow.
No skin off my nose and then maybe these gals will shut up for a while.
Donates, never to re coop. The piss poor excuse, womens soccer and the gender gap. The advertising dollars are put forward where they can earn the most for the company. Its like a company using advertising dollars for a polka music concert in harlem instead of an Elton john concert
The real problem is four years from now. If they can’t increase revenue significantly, who will donate the next huge chunk of money?
So now, even less popular sports need to give the same pay even though they don’t draw the same crowds and advertisers and generate the same cash flow...what a concept!
Take back Vanessa Redgrave
Take back Joe Piscopo
Pretty soon, the $15 an hour crowd will be demanding $25 an hour.
Don't tell anyone ... it's a secret.
LOL!
“Joe Piscopo says the U.S. womens soccer team deserves equal pay.”
I think that’s a great idea. Make the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team pay equal to the pay of the team of 15-year-old boys they lost to a while back. Seems fair.
I like that; fair is fair.
Of course they will - they see it as another avenue to reduce jobs and keep the Uncle Sugar train moving...Trump’s economy and jobs performance is derailing their schedule....
