With half of the children 18 and under minorities as classified by the USG, each cohort that turns 18 annually will be more minority and more Dem. I see the divisions becoming deeper and more violent witness the recent attack on an ICE facility in Tacoma. Dem Presidential candidates are inciting violence and calling President Trump a racist. This is echoed by the MSM and Hollywood. And it is reinforced by our schools and academia. I don't see us reverting back to the idea of a melting pot. Multiculturalism and diversity are labeled as strengths. Open borders is now advocated by mainstream Dems.
The spying on the Trump campaign and transition teams as well as on a sitting President has scarcely made a ripple among the MSM and their allies. The surveillance State is being supported by the Dems. Deep State has allied itself with the Dems.
The 2020 election will tell us where America stands and where we are headed. It will be a very close race no matter whom the Dems nominate.
The rest of what you say is a sad but true, commentary on where the country has drifted due to the influence of the hard left.
I hope and pray you are wrong. Not that I don't like you, but your prediction. :-)
Another part of me says there is a groundswell--the silent majority--who hate the America trashing, the illegal alien loving, freaking out over asylum detention centers (and by the way, most countries have such facilities) off the deep-end democrats and their constant Trump bashing for no good reason.
Ronald Reagan said, "Are you better off than you were four years ago?"
Trump needs to ask the same.
And I really think Barr is timing the release of things to have the maximum effect on the election.
