I thought the hoax had little impact on us in the US, then I found out about car air conditioning freon.

We used to us R12. But because it damaged the ozone layer, we went to something called R134a. But now because of global warming, they are switching to R1234YF.

But watch the video below:

30 lbs of R134a cost $95.
30 lbs of R1234yf cost $3,000.

That’t baked into the price of every new car that uses it.

So I should buy a case of R134a? Because if you own cars a long time, they’re probably going to ban it like they did R-12.

The reason R12 started harming the ozone layer is Duponts patents ran out.
