I remember that huge case. Bodies of a dozen or so young women found buried on the far side of Albuquerque in an area being back filled for tract homes. Pure luck they were found before the streets went in and the new houses built.

Yes 30 miles, about a half hour drive down I-40. I always suspected they were all trafficking victims.
