It was weird;
Growing up I had heavy contact with his (very nice & gorgeous) family but somehow I didn’t really follow his music much at all.
I later moved to a country where TONS of people for some reason followed his music a lot.
They’d shove the mic in my face, “HELLO DIANA! HELLO DIANA..!!”
They somehow always wanted me to sing that song, since I was a native Engrish speaker.
The tune would come on, and I’d NEVER HEARD that song before..! They’d get this puzzled & downcast look on their faces.
Suddenly it was like letting out the air of a balloon, you know what noise..?
Like that.
I love Paul Anka. Being eclectic I know a lot of tuns well before my birth, used to listen to oldies radio when it was available. Very romantic songs. Swoon for Put Your Head on my Shoulder! I would have loved to sing them for you...O Diana!
