The left attempted to get an anti-facking law implemented via the ballot initiative (via prop 112 in 2018) but it was rejected by the voters of Colorado.
But in April, Polis signed Senate Bill 19-181 which is an attempt to overturn the voter rejection of anti fracking laws.

That job killing fracking set back ballot initiative wasn’t just defeated, it was defeated 44 to 55%. It lost in a landslide.
2 months later the democrats and Polis flipped the Colorado voters the finger and made it law anyway.
