There were 226 original jurisdiction challenges to Barack Obama’s eligibility as a natural born citizen heard in local, state and federal courts. There were 120 state and federal appellate rulings and 35 appeals to the Supreme Court of the United States for stays, injunctions and writs of certiorari (requests to hear the appeal in oral arguments. It takes four Justices to grant a Writ of Certiorari). Not one court at any level of the judiciary in 281 rulings found Obama to be ineligible.
