Woody Allen's co-star Mariel Hemingway (in Manhattan) was (that is, played) a student at Dalton. In the movie, he was in a sexual relationship with her, and it made people in his circle of friends uncomfortable.

The relationship played a central role in the movie, and was the source of some memorable lines.

Yes. And it was the most praised movie of the time.

Woody Allen, among others including Katie Couric and George Stephanopolous, is one who went to visit Rpstein even after he was a registered sex offender and finished his sentence.
