True.

In the silent movie version, it was Douglas Fairbanks in 1924.

The sound version in 1940 featured Tyrone Power.

I was, and still am a fan of Errol Flynn. Tyrone Power was a decent actor too. I always enjoyed the swashbuckling movies from the 40's and 50's. There were so many good actors in those days. Most of them today couldn't hold a candle to the likes of Flynn, Power, James Mason, Burt Lancaster, and the rest of the real men from those days.

I watched a cute movie the other day. It was called "Ghostlight" from 2018. It's a comedy/horror. It's a dark comedy about a disgruntled summer-stock actor who disregards the superstition surrounding Shakespeare's tragedy, Macbeth. By doing so he unleashes the curse of The Scottish Play and wreaks havoc on the company. I recognized one of the lead actors, Tom Riley as I'd seen him in Da Vinci's Demons, and a British TV crime drama called Darkheart. The one actor I didn't recognize was Cary Elwes, who was playing an American actor in the lead role of Macbeth. I had no idea who he was until I checked the cast for the movie.
