$2 trillion plus pissed down the toilet in Afghanistan alone, to say nothing of the human toll and intangible losses. Even being super conservative about it, losses in the trillions have to qualify as ruinous.

Most Americans seem conditioned to huge government costs and a permanent increasing deficit. some day the vultures will come home to roost but until then who cares because what can anyone do anyway. Everyone in government is committed to uncontrolled spending.
